Following an atmospheric river and heavy rains, all of the ephemeral waterfalls of Zion Canyon flowed during the storm lasted just a short time after the rain stopped. I went to the Temple of Sinawava and found Sinawava Falls, flowing in the shadows behind the brilliantly backlit cottonwoods in fall color.   This painting was painted en plein air for the Zion Art Invitational to support Zion National Park.
